Glass door of clock was open

Lately, I’ve been reading books about spirit communication, and one technique kept coming up: say the person’s name 3 times, then ask your question 3 times.

I first tried it with my son’s name… nothing happened.

Then I tried it again — this time with my mother-in-law’s name. I was lying on the couch, my grandson sitting nearby facing the kitchen. I got up to use the bathroom, and when I returned, something stopped me in my tracks.

The glass door of the old wall clock — the one hanging directly above where we’d been sitting — was wide open.

This isn’t just any clock. It belonged to my mother-in-law.

I asked my 3-year-old grandson if he’d opened it. He just looked at me blankly. I asked him to try closing it, and his little fingers barely brushed the door. “Too high,” he said.

A shiver ran through me. If it wasn’t him… maybe it was her.
